What is AC Mappy?
AC
Mappy is a Decal plug-in for Asheron's Call that allows users to
display a map of the dungeon they are in on screen.
Who wrote AC Mappy?
AC
Mappy was written by Blackpanther of Frostfell.
I,
Silver'bane of Frostfell, helped with the map conversions and beta
testing of the plug-in along with many other things like this web site.
Where did the
maps come from?
All
maps where originally from AC
Maps where I am a Cartographer along with Greeneye of Frostfell
(AC Maps Webmaster and founder), Lapin Rose of Frostfell, Alunor of
Mornigthaw, Miyah of Leafcull and A Little Voice of Leafcull.
I
took the maps with permission and reworked them by removing text and
some map details as to keep the files small and clutter free.
I try to
install AC Mappy and I get an error saying that it can not install
the acmappy.dll file. What do I do?
Do a search on
your system for gdiplus.dll if its
not there then goto the following website and download gdiplus_dnld.exe.

this will
install the file that it needs. This seems to be a problem on Win
95/98 systems and will be fixed on the next release of AC Mappy.
I try to
install AC Mappy and I get an error saying that you need a newer
version of Windows Installer?
If you are
using Windows XP then this is already installed with the OS so you
should hopefully not see this message, if so let us know.
If you are
using Windows 95/98/ME go HERE
and download the InstMsiA.exe file and install it. This should fix
the problem.
If you are
using Windows 2000/NT go HERE
and download the InstMsiA.exe file and install it. This should fix
the problem.
How do I Use
AC Mappy?
Its
fairly straight forward. Install it and away you go. When you enter
a dungeon a map will automatically pop up (assuming that
"Auto-Show" is checked).

CHAT BAR COMMAND :
/sm
or @sm - Display or remove MAP
How do I get Maps?
The
first 66 maps come pre-installed with AC Mappy so there is no need
to download them right now. When new maps are available they will be
posted here. DO NOT use
the maps from AC Maps as they are not formatted correctly and wont
display in AC Mappy correctly. All
maps that are on AC Maps are or will be formatted when they are
released on AC Maps and placed on this site for downloading. You can
be notified of new maps as soon as they are released by
going here.
Does AC Mappy
track you in a dungeon?
As
of right now the answer is NO. Possibly in the future. (Once we
figure out how to do it).
How can I be
notified when new maps or updates are released?
